Every Child Deserves the Opportunity to Learn
Ag 4 Youth exists “to educate and assist under-served youth, while promoting the virtues of ranching, animal husbandry, and local community agriculture.”
HISTORY OF AG4YOUTH
Under the mentorship of Paul Tarap, underserved youth began raising meat animals at the Mount La Salle Ranch in 2000, as an auxiliary program of the Christian Brothers. When that non-profit was obliged to cut all its programs in 2010, Tarap moved the animals and youths to his family ranch and, with the help of others, established Ag 4 Youth as an independent 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization in 2011.
Ag 4 Youth received a 2-acre permanent ranch site of its own in 2013, through the generosity of the Napa Valley Horsemen’s Association.
